The Type of Man You Should Be

In my years as a matchmaker, I’ve helped plenty of people determine what type of person they want as their potential partners. I have found that it’s mostly the men who are more particular with their preferences than women.

The truth is women aren’t that picky about their potential lovers. The qualities they want from a man are simple, but not all men know about them.

Most of these qualities take a while to learn and even longer to practice. If you’re determined enough, here are a few qualities you need to know about to become the type of man adored by everyone — especially women.

Respectful

Any man who makes an effort to be respectful to everyone is attractive. It won’t matter how rich, handsome, or funny you are if you are not able to respect a person for being a person.

You should aim to be the type who treats others fairly and with kindness. Being rude and feeling superior to others proves you’re not ready for relationships. After all, no one wants to be with a partner who can’t see them as equals.

One of the best ways to practice being respectful is through humility. Try talking less and listening more. When you learn to say nothing and listen to everything, you’ll be more considerate of what you say.

Accountable

A man who takes responsibility for his mistakes is worth being in a relationship with. It’s more attractive and admirable for you to let go of your ego and stop blaming other people for your problems.

Avoiding responsibility only makes you look like a jerk that chooses to satisfy only himself. Remember that a relationship consists of two people, not just one. A woman appreciates the type of man that knows the difference.

Trustworthy

Being trustworthy is different from being accountable. Trust will rely heavily on being dependable, honest, and genuine. When people look at you, do they say, “You can count on him” or “You can trust him”?

If you think the answer is yes, you’ve passed the trustworthy test, and all that’s left is to be consistent with your actions. But, if the answer is no, you still have a few more things you need to do and learn.

Emotionally Available

Women want emotionally available men. Why? Because any man who’s honest with his emotions is also honest in the relationship. Past a certain age, no one wants to go in circles anymore while trying to read their partner’s mind.

Plus, keeping your feelings bottled up won’t do either of you any good in the relationship. You must learn to be honest with your emotions and communicate them clearly.

Become Better

The last quality that’s attractive to women is the genuine desire to become a better version of yourself. When you reach an improved version of yourself, you open more doors to opportunities surrounding you.

Keep going forward, and pick yourself up after every setback. Love will find its way into your life whenever you’re not looking. After all, a man who doesn’t give up is what women want for relationships.
